This month, the CSPS is happy to shine the spotlight on one of our newest members:

Dr. Wai-Yee Li

The single biggest influence on my decision to become a Plastic Surgeon was:
assisting breast reconstruction cases while I was a general surgery resident at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. For me, it was so much more fun and creative surgery than the mastectomy.

If I had to start my career over: I would do it again.

I couldn’t operate without my: #10 blade

The best thing about being a Plastic Surgeon is: the reward of reconstructing patients affected by cancer or other disease process, or congenital condition.

The best dish I cook is: Apple Crumble served with custard

The best vacation I ever took was: with my family to French Louie Caye, a private island in Belize.

My all-time favorite movie is: Anne of Green Gables starring Megan Follows. The stunning scenery from Prince Edward Island coupled with the excellent actors makes this a very memorable movie.

My favorite hobby is traveling. Growing up in London, meant that within 1-2 hours flight we could be in a completely different country with entirely different foods, language and scenery.

Visiting the beautiful state of Alaska with her daughters for bear watching and viewing the glaciers.

The next item on my bucket list is: experiencing the New Years Eve fireworks over Sydney Harbor with my family
