CSPSERF: Changing California Childrens’ Lives One Surgery At A Time

California Society of Plastic Surgeons Educational and Research Foundation (CSPSERF) is designed to help children who are afflicted with a physical abnormality/condition that can be corrected with reconstructive surgery.  Treatment can be related to a congenital birth defect, accident or trauma, caused by physical abuse, or by a violent act.  Examples of conditions that will be considered are:  cleft palate and other facial deformities, burns & scar revisions, tattoo removal, microtia and other physical anomalies.  This is a partial list, other conditions will be considered.

The California Society of Plastic Surgeons Educational and Research Foundation (CSPSERF) was incorporated in California in 2007.  The mission of the foundation is to identify and pursue various issues relevant to the advancement, effectiveness and safety of plastic surgery.  The foundations initial efforts are on providing reconstructive surgery to California’s children, age 18 and under, who demonstrate a need for such services.
