Dear Plastic Surgery Family,
I am honored and humbled to begin my year representing you as your CSPS President. We are a great organization that embodies the best of plastic surgery. As our Past-President Jack Fisher recently reminded in his Brody Family Lectureship, our Society brings together and brings out the best of both “town and gown”. Our organization is built on the strength of community and academic plastic surgeons up and down our state. Together we span the depth and breadth of our incredible specialty.
This year I would like to build on the great work of the past in the areas of advocacy and education on behalf of our patients and members. To do so, I want to remind all of the amazing activities our members do to support, educate and care for the patients and families in our communities. We are looking to expand our social media presence to help us accomplish this. Please like us on Facebook (California Society of Plastic Surgeons), and follow us on Instagram (@californiaplasticsurgeons) and Twitter (@cspsoffice).
I would also like to welcome our newest members and introduce them to the rest of our Society. To do so, we will feature each new member on our website, sharing about themselves and how CSPS is important to them. Be on the look-out for posts and links to our webpage.
Finally, if you have activities, events or programs that you think our Society and patients should know about, please reach out to our Office. Let us see what we might be able to do to help. Perhaps we can lend our assistance through
Again, thank you for allowing me the privilege to represent you this year as your CSPS President!
In your service,
Michael S. Wong, MD
President, California Society of Plastic Surgeons
