71st Annual Meeting

February 2021 President's Message

It is said that "adversity breeds innovation". Who would have predicted that we would all become "Zoom masters" and attending conferences from our own offices with speakers from around the globe?

Earlier this month the Orange County Society of Plastic Surgeons (OCSPS), led by Dr. Jed Horowitz and Dr. Hisham Siefy, held a joint Regional Society meeting in conjunction with the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons (LASPS), led by Dr. John Diaz. The meeting presenter for the David Furnas Memorial Lecture was Dr. Yu-Ray Chen discussing his 40-year craniofacial experience, on Zoom from Taiwan. Also presenting was Dr. Steve Sigalove from Arizona on breast reconstruction and Galaflex. An excellent conference with 59 surgeons attending! Read More

California Society of Plastic Surgeons Educational & Research Foundation (CSPSERF)

The California Society of Plastic Surgeons Educational & Research Foundation Thousands of California’s children are suffering from debilitating conditions that could be helped through reconstructive surgery and allow them to lead healthier, happier and more productive lives.

The California Society of Plastic Surgeons Educational & Research Foundation (CSPSERF) has a simple mission: to help uninsured and underinsured children of California who could benefit from reconstructive plastic surgery. The mission of CSPSERF is to help these children who want to appear more “normal” to avoid the stigma that can accompany an individual who has a different appearance. Being bullied, ostracized, excluded, and ignored can become a way of life for children with physical abnormalities. By offering them the services of California Board Certified Plastic Surgeons, we can help these children live without the self-consciousness and teasing that comes with being different.

For more information on how to apply for services, volunteer or donate, please visit the CSPSERF website.
