CSPS Legislative Advocacy Day 2026
CSPS members gathered in Sacramento for the annual CSPS Legislative Advocacy Day, meeting with 16 state legislators and legislative aides to discuss issues affecting plastic surgeons and patients throughout California. These conversations gave members an opportunity to share their firsthand perspectives, strengthen relationships with policymakers, and advocate for policies that promote patient safety and responsible medical practice.
A central focus of this year’s visits was the operation and oversight of medical spas in California. CSPS members discussed the importance of clear standards regarding who may operate these facilities, how medical services are supervised, and what safeguards should be in place. Through its advocacy efforts, CSPS continues to support appropriate oversight, strong patient protections, and high standards of care for Californians seeking cosmetic medical procedures.
