Legislative Advocacy Day
About Legislative Advocacy Day
CSPS Legislative Advocacy Day brings plastic surgeons, residents, and medical students together at the State Capitol to advocate for policies that protect patients and strengthen the specialty. Participants receive a briefing on CSPS legislative priorities before meeting with lawmakers and their staff to share firsthand perspectives on issues affecting plastic surgery in California.
No previous advocacy experience is required—just a willingness to speak up for your patients, your profession, and the future of plastic surgery.

CSPS Members met in Sacramento for the annual CSPS Legislative Day, and visited with (16) legislators or aides to address issues of importance to the plastic surgeons in California. A main focus of the visits was the examination of Med Spas in California and to examine who is operating and overseeing these entities. CSPS wants to ensure appropriate protocols and ensure patient protections.
